Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

I have been working with school aged children in a teaching capacity for 8 years in both paid and volunteer capacities. I have volunteered in an elementary school working with ESL students aged 6-13. I have taught after school programs for both cooking and karate instruction. As well, I have been a camp counselor and and arts and crafts specialist for children age 2-15. I have been working full time as a co-ordinator and teacher for pre-school and school aged children. My job entails performing assessments, creating programs and implementing specific curriculum that teaches phonics and other basic concepts at the pre-school and kindergarten level. I have had experience planning and modifying activities, lessons and classroom practices for students with speech concerns, visual, fine and gross motor concerns, ADHD and mild autism. My lessons and expectations were tailored to their needs and provided them with the tools to experience success in the classroom.
