Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

My first ECE job was at a summer camp. I was the kindergarten teacher/camp counsellor.)\r\nI have successfully completed four ECE placements in college. (Infants, Toddlers, Preschoolers, and School age children).\r\n\r\nI did my fourth semester placement (School age children) internationally. I received the opportunity to teach in Pakistan for a a semester. \r\n\r\nI worked full time as the lead ECE in the toddler classroom at a Daycare Centre located in the West Toronto. However, I recently left the job to go back to University to study English. Observed ECEs manage special needs children within my placements. \r\n\r\nThere were two children at the centre I used to work at, who were diagnosed with a learning disability. I was responsible for following up with the Early Interventionist on the progression of the children. \r\n\r\nDuring the time I was teaching in Pakistan, I did an observation on a child (with the consent of his parents), and notified only the supervisor about the results. After the supervisor spoke to his parents, they took him to the doctor, and he was diagnosed with autism.
