Early Childhood Educator in Calgary, Alberta

I am currently employed as Lead Classroom Teacher at One World Child Development Centre through CUPS. The Calgary Urban Project Society is a Calgary based non-profit organization dedicated to providing healing and nurturing services to those neglected by society. I am currently employed on a ten month contract. This entails creating and implementing a trauma informed and therapeutically based curriculum for my classroom. My classroom supports a diverse population of students between the ages of 3 and 5 with many different needs and at different developmental stages. I was a youth and family counsellor for the under 12 program at Woods Homes for two years. I have also worked at Margaret House which is a facility for kids involved in Autism. I have finished two in school practicums in both grade 1 and 2. I have also volunteered at Boys and Girls club as both a in school and club mentor. I have worked as a respite worker for kids with disabilities for five years while in school. I worked regularly with a client with Trisomy 13 and another client with Aspergers.
