Early Childhood Educator in Keswick, Ontario

I have worked extensively with school-aged children for the past 3 years at R.L. Graham P.S. My involvement includes teaching guided reading groups, assisting with classroom activities and aiding high-risk children in daily activities. I have also coached Soccer and Basketball for the past two years. I have assisted in fundraising events within the school - including Fun Fair and Danceathon. This year, I am working Tutor in the Classroom at Lakeside P.S. Outside of the school environment, I have babysat children from the ages of 5-15. For the past year, I have assisted in the community classroom for developmentally delayed children. I have worked 1 on 1 with these children - academically and socially. I have also gone out of my way to include these children in extra-curricular activities that the school offers. I have learned de-escalation techniques to aid in dealing with these children. Outside of the school system, I have assisted children with Cerebral Palsy with trips to the mall etc.
