The completion of my first practicum at St. Benedict School offered many learning experiences and growth opportunities. In this role, I taught in a grade 2/3 combined classroom, offering me the chance to create diverse lessons incorporating two distinct curricula. This experience strengthened my problem-solving processes, quick thinking, and passion for education.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nMy second practicum at Norwood School provided me with a unique and challenging inner-city environment. I was quickly able to foster positive and authentic relationships with students in my Grade 6 class, along with supporting them in their various academic and social needs.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nLastly, my role as Program Director for Camp Cadicasu has greatly increased my ability to support the creation a safe, inclusive environment for children of all abilities where they can explore the natural world, attempt to conquer fears, and develop positive self-esteem and self-confidence.
