Early Childhood Educator in Calgary, Alberta

I operated a dayhome with an agency from 2000-200.... I operated a private dayhome from 2007-201.... I also have two children of my own, ages 15 and 5. My daughter (now 15) was diagnosed with ADHD at age 4. I participated with a training program at the Alberta Childrens Hospital to gain insight of techniques to manage the behaviour outburst and how to coach her to be able to deal with her emotions. Coaching was successful and used to this day without medication. I also worked in the health care field for 3 1/2 years, where a large volume of the patients were in wheelchairs or had some form of disability that I was the designated nurse to help. My practicum for college was with Sunnyhill Pediatric, which dealt with children with special needs.
