Volunteered at Little Red Schoolhouse Co-op preschool while son attended.\r\n\r\ While attending college for ECE and ECE Post Basic Infant & Toddler worked for an Out of School Care program as a Support Worker for school-aged child with OCD, ADD, ADHD and behavioral challenges. Approximately 4 months intervention work with successful outcome.\r\n\r\ Worked for Military Family Resource Center in a number of roles including Support Work, Preschool Teacher and ECE/IT in 3-5 and I/T daycare programs.\r\n\r\nVolunteer with Story Studios Creative Writing program in Greater Victoria Public Schools. -Supported child while receiving speech and occupational therapy from QA hospital professionals (Speech and Occupational Therapists.) Assisted with development and continued implementation of care plan designed to assist child with diagnose for a severe speech delay and possible autism. Worked for two years with team with a successful outcome and child was assessed and found not autistic.\r\n\r\n-As noted above supported and designed plan to assist school-aged child with significant behavioral challenges including aggression and hyper activity in their after school program. Gave directional advice to co-workers following care plan, with successful outcome.\r\n\r\n-Supported preschool age child while designing and implementing care plan to assist child with significant behavioral challenges. As well as communicating and assisting parents to learn and implement behavioral modification approach, successful outcome.\r\n\r\n-Supported preschool student with special needs in their classroom setting. Created and implemented care plan using a \"Child-Inclusion\" approach. Facilitated meetings with supported child\'s parents and consulted with team member from QA hospital to discuss progress and any areas of difficulty. As well as spending many years working in the field of Early Childhood and Infant Toddler Educational centres.
