I experienced working in various primary schools in Australia and U.K teaching subjects such as literacy, numeracy and other key learning areas for Kindergarten to Grade 6 with classes ranging from 25-30 students. On top of that I have gained essential skills such as: lesson planning with my colleagues, and adapting to students’ unique needs in lessons. I constantly seek to develop a positive rapport with my students and provided creative tasks that are achievable, fun, yet challenging in a learning environment. I have accommodated my lessons to be inclusive for all students to participate. I created tasks that are achievable for students with special needs. In addition, I have experienced working students with autism in a sports and recreation program to develop social skills. I demonstrated empathy, understanding, and patience in situations when children felt uncomfortable being a part from their caregivers by showing approachable and friendly demeanor.
