Early Childhood Educator in Scarborough, Ontario

Currently, I am working at Norway YMCA Child Care Centre as a Registered Early Childhood Educator as well as the on-site supervisor of the Extended Day program. As the on-site supervisor I am responsible for the day to day operations, of the school age and kindergarten program. I am responsible for the re-licensing of the program conducted by the Ministry of Children’s Services. I am familiar with the Ministry of Education, children's services, and City of Toronto, Quality Assessment Requirements. I have been the head teacher of the Nursery School program; the children were in the ages between 2 - 4 year olds, not so long ago; our duties rotate on a regular basis. As the head teacher of the nursery program, I plan and implement age appropriate activities for the children. The activities consist of language, motor skills, music, science, dramatic play, cognitive skills, sensory skills, independence, and problem solving skills.
