Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

I'm an
Individual
Charisse Latiff 9 Greendale Ave Toronto, ON M6N4P4 (647)... [email protected] To Whom This May Concern: I have been with Sunnylea Childcare Centre since January 2018. I started off as the registered early childhood educator in the toddler room and then moved to the full day kindergarten before and after program, which I have been there since. I would like to share my journey of how I got into the field of early childhood education in a nutshell. I graduated from the University of Toronto with honours. I got a double major in Socio-Legal Criminology and English. When I went into university I wanted to learn about law and everything there is to know about the criminal system. But also in the back of my mind since I could remember I had loved teaching. When I graduated from university the opportunities were endless. The evident route was teachers college but when I researched it, it wasn’t the right fit for me. I then discovered the early childhood educator program at Seneca College, and I knew this was my niche. I wanted to be able to learn about the developing minds of children in their early years and I wanted to be able to help shape these minds. I welcome and am actively involved in Professional Development Workshops as an ongoing process to further expand new and exciting knowledge in the Childcare field. Which brings me to where I am today. Some may think that I haven’t been in the field long enough. But I have volunteered/ worked in many programs and I know I am capable of taking on a leadership role. Throughout my career I have always maintained 2-3 jobs in order to challenge myself and I would love the opportunity to challenge myself in more of a leadership role. I am ready to expand my knowledge and share my knowledge of the field with the centre. I would like to thank you for taking the time to review this cover letter; I have enclosed my resume for your consideration. I look forward to hearing a positive response, and would be happy to further discuss my qualifications in an interview setting. I may be reached at (647) 41... or via email [email protected]. Sincerely, Charisse Latiff
