Early Childhood Educator in Saint John, New Brunswick

I have held the position of Childcare supervisor or Program Director since 2011. I have been employed in the childcare field since 2009 when I graduated from the Early Childhood of Education program at Niagara College. I also have my English Language and Literature degree from Brock University. I am First aid and Infant CPR certified I have experience working with infants, toddlers, preschool and school aged programs and various curriculum such as the YMCA Play to Learn, NB Curriculum Framework, Region Amelia, and a variety of other programming styles. I have spent time coaching childcare teams in small centers and very large centers and value the quality of staffing that comes with working as a team that supports one another and is there for the children. I have supervised a site as large as 18 regular staff and 160 children, as well as a site where I managed 4 supervisors and 4 different programs. I have participated in the opening of two childcare sites, from the ordering of furniture and setting up of rooms, initial licensing, registering of children and hiring of staff. I make it my top priority to connect with families and spend time with every child in my program.
