Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

My experience in working with young people for over 10 years has varied, I started out as a recreational assistant, leader and sports coach and then went on to supervisory and fund strategy roles. My interests are creating opportunities for the young people especially those who may need additional support, through funding raising for activities and development of events to raise awareness and ensuring positive impacts have long lasting effects on the young people and their families. For over 5 years I have experience in providing presentations and public speaking to show case development strategies, funding strategies and celebratory events and awards. My knowledge of funding strategies is both local and national scale. I have volunteered with Cystic Fibrosis Canada fund raising and stewardship department to gain Canadian experience, I feel I grasp new concepts quickly, enjoy fast paced challenging environments and can effectively communicate on all levels. Both in the UK and Canada I worked with culturally diverse communities establishing strong working relationships and community cohesion through excellent communication skills and respect for diversity. I am committed and passionate to supporting people with disabilities and additional needs and their families. For over ten years, the experienced I have gained includes working with communities, schools partnerships, external organizations, and children and young people. During which was five years of supervisory and fund management positions, I have also completed many coaching qualifications and teaching training certificate in education. My coaching and teaching experiences range from training over 100 summer adult staff, core skills that include risk assessment, health and safety awareness, child protection, first aid and leadership of activities. I believe I would make a positive impact working for any agency or company working to improve opportunities for children, because of my passion for making a difference and creating opportunities for young people. My strong personal understanding of the impact of what organizations can have on individuals, their families and their community.
