I have been educated in observing childs activity and behaviour to observe development in five developmental domains. I have learned about health and safety practices, and safety awareness of the children in their playground. I have experienced to plan project, and organize age appropriate activities on the basis of childrens cues and interest, and to apply positive guidance and discipline strategy in an unwanted situation. I have learned about reflection of emergent curriculum in my assignments, and about Reggio Emilia approach insisting children to learn readily from their environment that acts as third teacher. I have learned that children with autism and disability need some special help and assistance. Special needs for a child with autism may be identified considering the characteristics, such as 1) Impaired communication, 2) Problem with social relationship and play skill, 3) Engagement in stereotypical/repetitive behaviour, and 4) Sensory impairment. Following special needs might be provided to the children with autism: Let the child stay away from high light and sound for sensory sensitivities. Plan Diet for allergies, or routine diets Provide assistance if required in toileting Medication, if required. Provide speech therapy and visual signs in impaired communication.
