Early Childhood Educator in Mississauga, Ontario

I truly enjoy working with children. I currently teach the children\\\'s Liturgy at church on Saturdays from 5-6, in which I help them better learn about the stories in the Bible. In addition, I have also taught children (grade2/3 split) in a regular classroom setting. My final year in school involved a placement in which I had to help, and still currently helping a student with behavioural issues in a school with the TDSB. Working with Children with Special Needs was sometimes a challenge but thats exactly what I enjoyed about it the most. Everyday I experienced something new with a specific child's behaviour. For instance, I have been working with a child that has autism, and understanding his/her speech was a challenge however having a daily routine with pictures greatly helped. In addition, a change in routine definitely sparked an upset mood, however prior warnings was always beneficial. Overall, the experience was great, and I always look forward to working with children that have special needs.
