Early Childhood Educator in Etobicoke, Ontario

I have been a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hamilton and Burlington since July 2013. I have worked in a number of programs. One in particular is the Connections program. I became a friend and a mentor to newcomer children between the ages of 7-12 to help them adjust to living in Canada. During the program I helped the children build confidence, make friends and achieve their full potential. I also helped them feel welcomed and loved in the new Canadian environment. The activities we did included educational activities about Canada, games, sports, and discussions. I have not had experience working with children with special needs.
