Early Childhood Educator in Barrie, Ontario

Hello, my name is Rebekah Jansen, I am 24 years old and absolutely adore children. I am currently looking for a summer job. I have had a lot of experience working with children of all ages and abilities. I did a co-op placement at a daycare in grade 11, and have done three placements with Georgian college; one in a preschool classroom, another in a full day kindergarten classroom and the last one at the Ontario Early Years Centre in Alliston. I also did a DSW placement at a group home for children. I also currently volunteer in the children's program at my church. I enjoy working with children and am able to form a trusting relationship with them. I understand the importance of child development and that scaffolding children has positive effects on their development. I made the decision to bridge into the DSW program during my final semester of ECE because in all three of my placements there were children with Autism. I was able to create a bond with those children and became interested in learning more about other disabilities and how to be a support for those individuals. I am punctual, reliable, and respectful.
