· MACTE accredited Montessori Diploma in Early Childhood (CASA) at the Canadian Montessori Teacher Education Institute · Vulnerable Sector Police Check · Standard First Aid & CPR Level C Certified · 2 Years Teaching Experience · Bilingual, ability to speak three languages (English, Sinhala, Tamil) · Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development such as games, arts and crafts, storytelling. · Strong classroom management skills. · Observe and evaluate children’s performance, behavior · Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities. · Demonstrate activities to children · Confer with other teachers to plan and schedule lessons promoting learning. · Teach children basic skills such as color, shape, number, letter recognition · Assisted in organizing a holiday program for kids. · Developed strong, lasting relationships with parents and children. · Willingness to take on additional responsibility · Excellent verbal & written communication skills
