Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

I am an Registered Early Childhood Educator, graduated from George Brown College in April 2016. Currently I am working at George Brown lab school as a supply staff. Intensive course work and hands-on experience in the Early Childhood Program at the George Brown College has given me the required skills and knowledge for this field. I am confident my education, experience, and transferable skills such as my leadership qualities and organizational abilities, qualify me for ECE/RECE position. During my placements and my job, I planned and implemented age-appropriate activities for the children based on ELECT and How does learning happen. Some of the activities were really appreciated by parents, cooperating CECE and faculties. A few of them are, picture book which included families from different culture, race, gender and etc. for toddlers, diverse food experiments for social skill development for pre-school, problem solving activities such as plantation and restaurant business for school age, and activity with familiar objects to develop the Roots Skills of Literacy for infants. In addition to being a very organised ECE in my work place, I am creative and enthusiastic, and sensitive to children’s individual needs. I possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. I maintained open communications with parents by discussing their children, culture and etc. and by regularly posting on Newsletter and bulletin board.
