A little about myself , I am 26 year old mother of two beautiful girls, a two year named Brooklyn and a five month old named Brittany. I recently bought my first home in Alliston Ontario. I was born in Toronto, but spent most of my childhood growing up in Richmond hill. I have been around kids since I can remember. My mother ran a home daycare until I was fourteen years old. I grew up helping my mother set up activities for the children she took care of. I am very adaptable, I obtained a diploma for ECE at Seneca college. I have a good understanding of the issues that affect children and their families, many people have told me that I have excellent interpersonal skills with parents, coworkers, and members of the community. I work well in a team setting as well as on my own. Although I have a family I am willing to work flexible hours if needed. As my resume indicates, I possess more than ten years of progressive experience as a Early Childcare Worker, . My professional history includes positions such as recreational child care worker for the Georgiana manor resort and country club, I am currently employed full time with the organization Reena as a full time support worker for individuals with special needs. As well as a part time supply ECE for the York Catholic District School Board. Most recently, my responsibilities as a Support worker for individuals with special needs are as follows; supporting my individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, medication, finances, cooking. I also, with the help of my coworkers observe and document their needs, wants interest, what they are able and not able to do, and with this information we plan and implement recreational programming in which all individuals can participate in. My Responsibilities as a supply ECE are; planning and implanting developmentally appropriate activities and experiences in harmony with the philosophy of the school. Organizing space, equipment and materials in a safe manner before allowing children to proceed with the activity. Assisting children with expressing themselves, as well as encouraging and support children to participate in self-help and problem solving. Report all accidents, injuries and illnesses to the teacher, principle and parents. As well as working with the teacher to ensure that the children get good quality education in a save environment.
