Early Childhood Educator in Edmonton, Alberta

I don't have any experience but am interested in pursuing community support worker positions. I would like to start a one year course in the fall or winter.. I have experience teaching children in large classrooms clay projects and volunteer as human liaison for communities. I am good at reading people who would feel left out and try to include them respectfully, to create a peaceful atmosphere, one that is inclusive. I don't know how that would qualify me. I have a real concern for newcomers and marginal people as well as youth and would need to learn lots to help them navigate through life's real rocky terrain if I could, or just be encouraging to them. This is not really an application per say, but a request to find more information about the careerer path I'm starting and the best way to enter into it with more exposer to the industry of people well being? This might be off a bit but I would appreciate any feed back you have time to give or any resource information you could direct me to, as well as any entry position that you might be aware of that I would be qualified to apply for.
