Early Childhood Educator in Bamfield, British Columbia

As a teacher assistant I provide to: 1. Reinforce lessons presented by teachers by reviewing material with students one-on-one or small groups. 2. Enforce school and class rules to help teach students proper behavior. 3. Help teachers with recordkeeping, such as tracking attendance and calculating grades. 4. Help teachers prepare for lessons by getting materials ready or setting up equipment, such as computers. 5. Help supervise students in class, between classes, during lunch recess and on field trips. I am looking forward to know about what role a teaching assistant plays daily in the classroom. I want to know if the school program is 5 days of the week, also if I am allowed to organize activity classes with the students so they get more attached to the lesson.
