Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

Through my work supporting families and students in educational facilities, I have been successful at delivering a client-centred, strength-based program which engage all children, youth, and families in a manner which is culturally sensitive, non-judgmental and respectful. I have thorough knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Child Care and Early Years Act, “How Does Learning Happen”, Child and Family Services Act and other provincial and municipal regulations. I have led centres to exceed quality assurance measures by ensuring that staff put theory into practice. I have been successful at developing a community of learners amongst staff in order for them to reflect in their roles as practitioners to maintain high standards of professionalism and best practices. I have done this through workshops, webinars and knowledge sharing. I have remained active and current within the sector through participation in child care advisory committees, writing policies to reflect regulatory changes and working with Mothercraft College ECE students to maintain consistency with pedagogical frameworks and new regulatory requirements.
