Early Childhood Educator in Winnipeg, Manitoba

My experience stems at my childhood, being the eldest of five siblings has definitely been an advantage for me when it comes to working with children. Completing a babysitting course at age 12 and taking on babysitting jobs throughout my teenage years lead me on my career path. Throughout high school, I took a Child Care course that required volunteer work in an infant daycare, it was fun and a great learning experience. I am currently finishing an Educational Assistant course that consists of a ten week practicum placement. So far I have worked in a middle school and an elementary school. I look forward to gaining more experience with children as I work towards becoming a school teacher. As a level 3 Educational Assistant I have the basic training required to work with children who have special needs. I have also done volunteer work with the Special Olympics bowling league.
