It can be challenging however, this is what makes working with children and youth interesting. Patience & consistency is a must. I find children feed off of the energy I am giving on to them therefore, it is vital that I try my best to remain positive and that I am aware of my strengths and weaknesses. I would recommend working with children to anyone. Working with children with special needs can be difficult. Patience, dedication and empathy are vital when attending to a child with special needs. Although, working with this population of children can be stressful, it is extremely rewarding and beautiful to see their growth and positive outcome. I would recommend this to anyone.
