Early Childhood Educator in Red Deer, Alberta

I love working with children. I have been a teacher at my local church with the 2 to 4 year olds. I have also been active with special events in our church which included children up to 14 years of age. I have done a practicum at a Boys and Girls club. For the last year I have worked in a children\'s home in Red Deer Alberta. There we had clients with different needs which included autism, fetal alcohol and a rare condition called creatine deficiency. The children in this home were prone to violent outbursts of temper. We had to learn how to stay calm under pressure and bring the escalation back where the child had control once more. We had to cook, clean and instill basic habits that other children take for granted.
