Early Childhood Educator in Halifax, Nova Scotia

I have experience working with children in early child care settings such as day cares. During my time working with children in day care settings I planned developmentally appropriate activities, wrote journals and engaged with the children in learning activities on a daily basis. I have also worked with children through Girl Guides of Canada as a guiding leader. My role with guides involved planning weekly activities that were motivating and interesting to girls and promoting adventure in new and exciting activities. I have experience working in early intervention settings for children with special needs. During my time in these settings I worked with specialists to assist the children in achieving goals, communicated with staff and planned activities to promote development. My work in this setting was with two children who had autism, speech delay and motor delay. I also participated in a placement at an inclusive day care. My role at this setting involved encouraging inclusion during intervention, promoting developmental opportunities for all children and participating and assisting with intervention
