Early Childhood Educator in Edmonton, Alberta

I\'ve been caring for children as long as I can remember. When I was 12 my little brother was born and I was always helping with him, and starting babysitting him once he was about 6 months old. I continued caring for him often for a few hours daily until I moved out at 19. I also babysat many of my parents friend\'s children, as well as children from my old daycares, of varying age ranges. At the age of 16 I started working at daycares and received my level one. I worked with preschool and osc in the afternoon for the first 2 years, then worked with infants for a few months, and now I am currently working with toddlers and osc a few times a week. I volunteered in a kindergarden class for half a year as well. I have worked one on one with children with autism as well as Down syndrome. All of those children were 4-5. These experiences were at daycares where I was placed with children that needed a one on one staff. I enjoyed the amount of attention that I could give to one individual child with one on one care.
