Early Childhood Educator in Brampton, Ontario

My experience with children has been great. I have worked with children ages 4 months - 12 years. I have developed skills such as; meeting the needs of children individually as well as in a large group, planning for children according to their experiences, planning for families according to the interests of their children etc. I look forward to further developing these skills to become a better educator. I was placed at St.Xavier Elementary School in Brampton, the experience I have had with a child with a learning disability, with the help on my co-operating teacher I was able to assist the child in development, encourage her to read and write. The child was not able to hold a pencil, and when she/he learnt how to, he/she began writing letters. The second experience I had was working with a child in Rise N Shine child care, I was assigned to help the child go to sleep, calm him/her down when they became frustrated. I learnt a lot working with children that have special needs and creating a bond that i will always remember.
