Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

Various Sundays and Tuesdays I volunteer at my local church. I work with children from ages six to eight. \r\nIt has been almost four year of experience with the children. It is a new learning experience each time with the children because I learn about their capacities and skills set. By this, I encourage the children in each area of their lives, including spirituality. At times, the children can rebel thus I take the child to a quiet setting and speak to them about what they are feeling at the moment. The children can react at first due to influences from third parties, however, if an adult is their to willing to help and encourage, the child usually finds a person to confide in when times are difficult for them.\r\nThese experiences help me as an individual, always take a step back and step into these children\'s shoes. These skills set I can take into the work place and use them to encourage, motivate and make sure the children are always having fun in a safe and loving environment. I do not have experience with Special needs children. However, I am more than happy to gain experience working with special needs children.
