. I have four years of experience working with children in various age ranges and settings including; nurseries, residential, day cares, elementary schools, and an after school program center. I focus on providing the children with a safe and encouraging environment where they may feel free to develop and learn. I create programs that will assist the children in gaining life skills for their futures; while enhancing their social skills and working with peers. My roles in each agency have enabled me to develop a strong understanding of a variety of children and youth and their individual strengths and needs. When working with children in the past I have been responsible for developing and implementing individual treatment plans. Many of my programs focused on self-esteem building, life skills, decision-making and cooperation. Volunteering in the community for several years has allowed for further development in my comprehension to the therapeutic, academic, social, and physical needs of each children and youth. During my first three placement opportunity I was able to working with children who display a developmental disability. I was able to give support to these individuals and assist them in performing daily tasks independently. I have been able to provide children and youth with a safe environment which encourages and promotes a healthy life style and assists them in exploring all resources available. It would be an honor to work within the agency and promote opportunities for physical care, emotional and social support to all children.
