Early Childhood Educator in Mount Hope, Ontario

In my five years at Brock University, in the concurrent education program, I have learned various theories of child development, enabling me to work with children and provide a safe environment..... communication skills developed through my volunteer experience as a coach, Special Needs Activity Program counsellor, a Brock University mentor and a tutor. My various volunteer experiences required me to assure children understood the skills and techniques needed to succeed. As well as, maintaining the communication between the parent and myself of the student’s progress. Tutoring, mentoring and coaching have taught me various skills, such as problem solving, patience, and activities to provide a fun organized environment. Furthermore, tutoring and Brock University Placements have taught me the skills to develop and organize written reports, such as lesson plans and parent letters, to maintain efficient and appropriate tutoring sessions and communication. Worked with cildren with disabilities through the Special Needs Activity Program at Brock University. Through the program we were given a child where we would have to work on motor and sensory skills.
