Early Childhood Educator in Calgary, Alberta

During my practicums, I have experience with Preschool Age at a variety different child care centers. I have 5 years of experience with Toddlers, where I've taught them self help skills and cared for their basic needs (changing, feeding, napping). My philosophy I have adapted with children is an emergent approach, inspired by Reggio Emilia. I believe following the child's interest to help support their needs and abilities. Using Ages and Stages questionnaire to help identify possible developmental delays. Providing extra care for those who may have delays, but no real experience with children with special needs.
