Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

I am Eleanor Bahrami-Hessari and my credentials include a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special and General Education from Bank Street College as well as a Master’s Degree in school-age Special Education from the Philippines, a Bachelor's Degree in Education and over ten years of direct instructional experience with learners of different ages and needs. My commitment to children and to the teaching profession is seen in my expertise in creating multidisciplinary educational plans and differentiating instruction and demonstrate my hard work and dedication to children's learning. Being a highly adaptable and versatile educator, I have enjoyed the opportunity to teach a diverse group of children with learning disabilities, autism and ADD/ADHD. Currently, I am a university lecturer, researcher and internship supervisor at one of the best universities in the Philippines where I also assisted in putting up the special education program for teachers. My passion and desire to work directly with children has driven me to apply as a classroom teacher. My teaching experiences in diverse settings as well as and my first teaching experience as a high school teacher helped me blossom into a well-rounded and compassionate individual, who takes each student's goals, needs, strengths and interests into account, and creates effective lessons to accommodate them. My greatest capability is facilitating all styles of learners. I feel the need to develop multi-disciplinary and multi-sensory lessons to meet the specific needs of various learners. Most of all, I make certain that each learner receives individualized encouragement to ensure that he/she remains motivated and enjoys learning.
