Early Childhood Educator in Milton, Ontario

I had the opportunity to have three placements while studying at Sheridan College, on my first semester I was placed at Ridgeway Child Care Center (Region of Peel); I was able to work with the Junior Room teacher. During my second semester I was placed at Christ the King CCC (PLASP), there I was able to work at the SK/JK room. My last placement at Sheridan College was at Tender Years Co-op; I was placed in the Pre-school room. I created, planned and directed different activities for the children. I monitored the room as a peacekeeper and pursued conflict resolution in the class. I also had the opportunity of traveling to Spain and work with children from a variety of ages at a summer camp. I was able to teach in English, and was responsible to express the Canadian culture through activities, songs and art. I also monitored the activities and assisted them with their daily routine. I was also responsible for night activities and breakfast duties. During my third year at Ryerson University I was placed at Credit Valley Hospital and worked closely with the Hospitals Child Life Specialist. On my last year at Ryerson University I had the amazing experience to work at Halton Children Services, while working closely with families and children in need.
