Early Childhood Educator in Surrey, British Columbia

I have volunteered with children for a number of years now. I was a volunteer at the church\'s kids camp, where I coordinated games and activities. I tutored students who needed help with their studies at school. \r\nI also volunteered at the North Shore Disability Resource Centre (NSDRC) in fund raising events. The NSDRC welcomes many diverse individuals including children with special needs, mental, medically and behavioral challenges. These positive working relationships with children helped me decide to pursue a career in Education. I completed the Education Assistant program in January of this year.\r\nI have completed certificates for the following:\r\nKids Physio \r\nCPI certificate I have volunteered in a classroom setting where I worked with children including those with special needs.\r\nI have worked in a team environment to develop and coordinate positive behavior, support goals for children with exceptionalities. \r\nI have implemented strategies outlined by educators, speech language therapist,and other EA\'s. \r\nI participated in field trips on my practicum, one where I got onto the ice with a child who needed the assistance.
