Early Childhood Educator in Guelph, Ontario

My name is Taylor Klys and I am a recent graduate from the University of Guelph, with completion of my Bachelor of Arts in Honours Psychology and Family and Child Studies. I have been in academics for my entire life and will continue to enjoy the academic atmosphere by continuing in this field by pursuing a career in teaching. I have always had a great passion for interacting with others and developing relationships, creating activities and programs for children, and encouraging an educational environment within my programs. I was enrolled in French immersion since I began schooling at a young age so I could have the opportunity to connect with individuals from multiple backgrounds beyond the English language. I have had the opportunity to use these skills during my pursuit of teaching with multiple age groups from youth to senior citizens. I assist within a educational after-school program, where I will assist in program planning, socialize with children and parents, and encourage active learning. I have worked in summer camps, where I was promoted from within the business to supervisor and had many responsibilities including developing the itineraries for campers, managing staff, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all the campers, staff and volunteers. I also have worked in a school educational setting working with children with physical and mental challenges, ranging from ADHD to complex neurological disorders. My work history has enabled me to adapt to a variety of environments and have the chance to work with a variety of individuals. I would love to have the chance to work within this position to use the skills I have developed over the years, to ensure every individual has a memorable experience. I believe my significant experience working with children, organization, curriculum/program building skills, bilingual communication skills, and adoration for children and their success will make me a great candidate for a child care position.
