I have worked as a skating instructor with pre-school and school age children, using games and obstacle courses to make the learning experience fun. I have also volunteered as a mentor for newcomer children ranging from ages 8 to 17, typically playing educational games, discussing social topics, and helping them with homework. I have done a placement for my program of studies in a class for children with ASD. They were 6 and 7 years old. I worked with one student in particular and helped him complete his scheduled activities, such as reading, writing, colour matching, drawing, and other activities.
