Early Childhood Educator in Thornhill, Ontario

My initial experience working with children began in childcare when assisting with an Early Childhood Education program for three consecutive years. Shortly after I was admitted into Teacher\'s College where I completed my Primary and Junior qualifications. I have taught the IB and Ontario curriculum to grades 4-6 at multicultural international school abroad as well as York Region District School Board. I have extensive experience working with high needs/ exceptional students and have collaboratively assessed and planned for appropriate instructions for such students. I have been involved in various team teaching approaches, as well as summer camp programs which aim for student centered learning. Throughout my occasional teaching career at York Region District School Board I have been placed in numerous community classrooms where I was responsible for implementing individualized programs for students with Autism, Development Delays and Mild Intellectual Disability. I am familiar with variety of educational techniques and resources used to accommodate the academic and social needs of these students. I am familiar and well trained in intervention and prevention strategies used during times of crisis with the special needs students.
