Early Childhood Educator in Markham, Ontario

I have worked with many age groups in the past from infancy to school age. Working with different age groups meant that the setting and level of programming was always different. I enjoy most working with preschoolers/ kindergartens because I find in that age group, children are more curious and willing to explore the world around them. Programming is always based on their cues and interests through conversations with peers, interactions, as well as observations in the classroom. Also I find with this age group, using different technologies (iPad, computer, SMARTBOARD, etc.) enhances their learning experiences so I try to incorporate that into my programming as much as I can. Yes, I have worked with students who were identified with autism. It is always important to remember that all children are different, it takes time to get to know the child in order to provide the best care suitable for them. My experiences with these children brought me smiles. I love teaching and watching these children grow. It is very rewarding when you know for a fact that you are making a difference in their lives.
