Early Childhood Educator in Etobicoke, Ontario

During my two years at Humber College, I had four placements at various Childcare settings; three at a daycare and one at school (a grade one classroom). In all of my settings I had the same duties, they were Maintaining a safe, relaxing and welcoming atmosphere for children and their families; and Plan and implemented activities in accordance to individual child’s physical, cognitive, emotional and social needs. Between May 2015 and September 205 I volunteered at the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. My duties included Providing children from ages of 0- 6 years, who have a wide range of diagnoses, abilities and needs, with positive play-based opportunities that support their psychosocial, physical, cognitive, and emotional rehabilitation. I also worked with children individually or in small groups as directed by Therapeutic Playroom staff and transported children to and from the Therapeutic Playroom.
