Early Childhood Educator in Corunna, Ontario

I have babysat for many families since I was 11 years old and gained long relationships with their children. Volunteered at St. Clair Child and Youth Family drop-in centre with children aged 0-6 years and later worked for their summer camp for children at high risk. Worked as a placement student at an elementary school in the grade 7 and 8 classroom. Helped with schoolwork and projects. Worked as a placement student at a boys residential home for youth aged 12-18 years of age. Also worked at Big Brothers Big sisters as an in school mentor (12 mentees for one school year from grade 2-9), created and put together a march break camp for Big Brothers, and also worked at the after school program at this facility. \r\nOveral, I have had a lot of experience with children and it has helped me identify their needs and assets. Many of the children I have worked with have had special needs. In particular, I mentored a student in grade 7 who was very difficult to work with because of his resistant, after a while, our relationship became stronger.
