Early Childhood Educator in Portage, Ohio

As a Title 1 teacher for grades K-3, I motivated students to find strategies that improved their reading and mathematical abilities by using a variety of visual ,auditory and tactile methods. As a Lead teacher and administrator for a co-operatvive preschool, I developed a variety of games,drama and songs to engage learning at their developmental level for to 5 year olds. When I was a substitute teacher, I participated in applying pre-developed lesson plans for a variety of learning styles and abilities for preschool age to 21 yr. olds in Portage County for over 10 yrs. I also developed and implemented my own plans for a long term pre-school position for a 3 month period. I have a Montesori influence with self learning skills for 3 to 12 yr. olds. In all my teaching, I encourage small group projects and reader's theater throughout curriculum.
