[email protected] To whom it may concern, Children are our future and I strongly believe that through the ages of birth to seven years old children acquire most of their life skills. All children are entitled to the opportunity to grow socially, physically, emotionally and intellectually. As an early childhood educator, it is my role, through daily observations, to provide meaningful experiences to children of all ages and abilities in order for them to develop and enhance their skills to become successful, confident, independent, and creative individuals. It is also my responsibility to provide a clean, safe, welcoming, bias free environment for learning to happen. Keeping this philosophy in mind, I believe that I will be a great asset to your organization. For the last twenty one years I have been fully employed at Not Your Average Daycare. I have worked at many of their locations but have been working at their Progress location since 1999. Over the years, I have been trained in the Reggio Emilia approach of learning where the curriculum is based on the children’s interests and needs. Through my schooling, I have been exposed to other teaching styles and philosophies that I am able to easily transition to and implement. I am also trained in using the ELECT, HDLH, and Think Feel Act documents. I also know the rules and regulations in the ChildCare and Early Years Act 2014. My roles and responsibilities are extensive and I have a great understanding of child development through my education and daily interactions with children from birth all the way up to twelve years old. I understand the various roles that an ECE has to take on. Even though my main responsibilities are the safety and well being of the children, I recognize that I also have to be a team player and to have clear communication daily with families, colleagues and outside agencies in order for the children to be seen as a whole individual. With my many years of hands on experience working with young children of all ages and abilities, and my educational background, I am confident in the skills I have attained over the years that I will be able to greatly contribute to your team.
