Early Childhood Educator in St. Albert, Alberta

My name is Kate Adanna Izims, a graduate joint- honors student of Childhood studies/Psychology from Bangor University in North Wales United Kingdom. I am currently undergoing my international practical work experience in Kortesuon Paivarotti situated in Kortepohja Jyvaskyla in Central Finland. I started my placement in October 2016 and is due to finish in June 2017, I chose to go to Finland for my international practical work experience because research shows that Finland acquires the best early educational system in the whole world and as such gaining work experience in early childhood education in Finland is highly recognized worthwhile. I have always loved working with children, hence my interest in studying about them. I sincerely believe that as the future generation, children should be well equipped through the provision of care for social, emotional and physical development which could be acquired through education and play. My current position in Kortesuon daycare centre is as an English speaking student nursery assistant trainee. My role involves prompting and encouraging children of pre-school age (6 year olds) to speak as well as understand English language through various activities such as nursery rhymes/sing-alongs, arts and crafts, games, meal times etc. I hope being hired for this job will provide an opportunity for me to contribute to the further development of this organisation through the use of my acquired transferable skills and also provide a window for me to learn and develop further as an earlier childhood educator and as a person.
