Early Childhood Educator in Hamilton, Ontario

I have worked for the YMCA as a School Age Child Care Assistant. I worked alongside the supervisor to plan and implement programs for students in grades 1 and 2. I also conducted administrative duties such as tracking attendance, accident reports, program plans, and daily reports. \\r\\nIn addition, during my undergraduate degree, I completed 5 field placements that totalled over 700 hours. I worked in 3 child care centers with toddlers and preschoolers. I also worked in 2 kindergarten classrooms with children from that ages of 4-5 years old. Through classes and field placements, I am familiar with the Day Nurseries Act, the FDK curriculum, the ELECT Framework, and other teaching philosophies such as emergent curriculum and the Reggio Emilia Approach.
