Early Childhood Educator in Waterloo, Ontario

I have worked with children for over 10 years. During highschool I had a co-op placement in the University of Waterloo Early Childhood Education Center. The children were between the ages of 3-6years. My second co-op placement was with Owl ChildCare working with school age children. After graduating highschool I became a personal nanny for a family of 2 boys. One of the boys had behavioral issues (childhood depression and anger management issues.) I worked along side the counselors at his school to implement a specialized program. I was in charge of day to day operation of the household as well as providing full time care to the youngest child. I worked at a private daycare working with children from newborns-14 years old. I was in charge of planning and delivering curriculum for preschool aged children. I than became a personal nanny for a family of 4 children between the ages of 2-11 years. I also assisted in potty training and essential skills for the pre-kindergarten child. My most recent experience with children I worked as a fitness instructor to children between the ages of 1-7 years. I was in charge of implementing the lesson plan and teaching children the benefits of a healthy active lifestyle. During my 5th year of highschool I took a teachers assistant course. I chose to work with the life skills class. I was there to help them with everyday curriculum and was in charge of teaching the drivers handbook to those eligible for their license.
