Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

I have volunteered in daycares, hospitals, schools which have exposed me to a variety of different children with a variety of different needs. I also did two teaching placements in two different schools which allowed me to gain experience in preparing and delivering lessons to students. I have been working with an individual who has special needs since she was 6 years old and now she is 17. I am part of her Home School Program in where I teach her language and cognitive skills to help develop her vocabulary. I also accompany her on many of her outings to the mall, pool, and to races in order to enhance her social skills. I also work with the City of Toronto, as Special Needs Program Staff in where I have come across individuals with Down Syndrome and Autism.
