As a Educational Assistant, Family Support Worker and Child Welfare Worker, I provided guidance, supervision and boundaries to children. As well, I problem solved issues with children, including discussing and setting consequences for negative target behaviours. I interact in a friendly and respectful manner with children, incorporating these interactions into my behavioural management process. I have experience with children who have had a number of special needs, such as FASD, ASD, ADHD, and intellectual and learning challenges. I have also worked with children who have had emotional issues such as Anxiety Disorder or Depression and behavioural conditions, such as Oppositional Defiance Disorder and Conduct Disorder. I very often assessed these children\'s functioning and addressed problems in treatment plans, often established with the child participating. My friendly and respectful interactions with these children, usually resulted in higher compliance to expectations.
