I have got the opportunities to carry out guided observation and also plan and develop IEP for both typically growing children as well as for children with special needs. I have work with grade 2 and also 3 and 4, along with the teacher in the classroom settings. As a part of the course i was able to visit the day care for one of my course, for ample number of times to learn and practice data collection methods and other techniques. It was mutually benefiting experience for both the children and myself I worked in school settings and within classroom to help the teacher build and develop new strategies and techniques to work with the children with special needs. As a part of my course i had to develop skill acquisition program for a child with developmental delays. I was also asked to develop various visual strategies to help the children function throughout the day.
