Early Childhood Educator in Spruce Grove, Alberta

I have worked with children over many years. I have two years experience teaching preschool eight years of child/youth care. I am a certified teacher with the province of Alberta and therefore have worked with children of various abilites. At the beginning of my studies I was a nanny for 2 years. We spent much time together sharing play and learning time, going out in the community, such as parks and play centers, as well as my teaching of social skills such as traffic safety, home safety, and grocery shopping. I enjoy the teaching role very much. I have been a substitute teacher for the last 6 years and enjoy this role as well. I currently am a supply teacher as well as a mom to a 5 and almost 7 year old. In the past 14 years I've worked in a behavior assisted learning, interactions, and opportunity classrooms with youth of various abilites. Duties have included: medication delivery, log documentation, teaching of social skills, Alberta curriculum, and providing role modeling, conflict resolution, consistant expectations, expressing patience and support of learning and daily routines. I have computer proficiency in most microsoft applications, as well as other office equipment.
